Distance Learning Digital Resources

Monterey Bay Charter School continues to offer resources to our community on internet safety and digital tools while in distance learning. These resources cover topics such as cyberbullying, protecting your child, online etiquette, and how to navigate our digital platforms such as Google classroom. We will be continually adding more resources and information to this part of our website as we get them.

Distance Learning Tools

Google Classroom

Google Classroom is where the students receive digital assignments and turns them in virtually. Students can find links for live class meetings in the Google Calendar.

Zoom

Zoom is the platform class teachers use to conduct live synchronous lessons. It enables both audio and video for the “host” (the teacher) and the “participants” (the student).

Clever

Clever is a secure single sign on portal that ensures safety and accuracy when users log into an app or extension. It creates an efficient login process while keeping passwords safe.

Freckle

Freckle is an educational resource that meets student’s at their exact reading and math proficiency. Subjects: ELA, Math, Science and Social Studies

Duolingo

Duolingo is a user friendly interactive app that teaches various languages. It meets students at their level of proficiency and builds stronger language from there. Subject: Spanish

Big Ideas Math

Big Ideas Math is a resource to help support math instruction. Use of the math workbooks will assist in math practice while also reducing screen time throughout the week.

PowerSchool

PowerSchool Families will use the parent portal to access their student’s information, attendance data and student report cards.

ParentSquare

ParentSquare is a one-stop shop for school happenings, improving communication, organization, and engagement between home and the school community.
