Ocean Guardian Beach Clean Up Success!

We’re excited to share that as part of our new NOAA Ocean Guardian School project to combat marine debris, MBCS has partnered with Save Our Shores to join the California Coastal Commission’s Adopt-A-Beach Program. For the 2024-25 school year, we’ve proudly adopted Del Monte Beach in Monterey.

A huge thank you to all the faculty, parents, and students who participated in last month’s beach cleanup. Together, our amazing team collected 363 lbs of trash and 6 lbs of recycling. Way to go, everyone!

February Break Camp Celebrates Loves & Kindness

MBCS February break camp celebrated love and empathy, with daily themes like “Planting Seeds of Kindness” and “Love Your Community.” Younger students learned how small acts of kindness make a big impact, while older students explored how their choices shape the school and community.

Students in grades 3-8 took a field trip to Animal Friends Rescue Project to learn about community service and assembled hygiene care packages for Community Human Services Center, supporting local youth, women, and families experiencing homelessness.
A big thank you to our ELOP Coordinator, Kristina Rosado, for organizing such a fun and meaningful camp!

MBCS has been voted Family Favorite Charter School for the 4th consecutive year!

A BIG thank to everyone who voted for Monterey Bay Charter School as family favorite charter school in Monterey County for the fifth year in a row!

Congratulations Mrs. Croft, who won family favorite lower grade teacher and Mr. Chapple, who was runner up for family favorite upper grade teacher
