Our Summer Program Was a Huge Success!

What an amazing four weeks we had with our summer program students! There were many fun trips, plenty of art, needle felting, learning about nature, reading, crafting, gardening, and countless hours of fun!

Our summer program ended in July with the 5th-8th grade group presenting a reader’s theater of how grandmother spider brought the sun, the moon and the stars. Everyone admired the homemade HEPA filters constructed by materials donated by Hayward Lumber, while the 3rd and 4th grade group showed everyone how our star, the Sun, is surrounded by planets and the Kindergarten through 2nd grade group participated in a program making rocket structures covered in stars.

Thank you to everyone who participated; our service learners for lending helping hands, our fun and caring counselors, amazing teachers and our fearless summer program leader, Ms. Jazmin Ventura! We are all so very grateful to have had this opportunity to work together, make new friends, and create wonderful summer memories.

Over $2,500 Raised!
