MBCS Winter Faire – A Fun-Filled Family Event!
This festive event is open to the entire community and is perfect for all ages. Create holiday treasures like felt ornaments and dip your own candles at grade-level craft booths led by our amazing family volunteers.
Shop for unique holiday gifts from local vendors and warm up with delicious food available for purchase. The Winter Faire is filled with fun, creativity, and holiday cheer—don’t miss out on this joyful celebration!
Guests that bring a warm coat for our warm coat drive or a bag of canned food for the Food Bank receive 4 free craft tickets!

Lottery is Open!
The lottery application is for all NEW students, including those that have siblings currently enrolled at MBCS. Currently enrolled students at MBCS do not need to apply, this is for new applicants only. Intent to Return forms for currently enrolled students will be sent to families in February. PG Parade of Lights
MBCS won the “Bubbly Spirit” Award!
For the sixth year in a row, MBCS families and teachers walked in the annual PG Parade of Lights with our school float. Parents and students created a wonderful Under the Sea float and handed out flyers to promote our Winter Faire.
MBCS won the “Bubbly Spirit” award from the PG Chamber of Commerce.

Lantern Walks
A Cherished Waldorf Tradition
Waldorf schools all around the world have adopted this autumn evening walk in which children carry their “lanterns” (a jar decorated in class) that is made bright with a candle lit inside. The child’s family joins the rest of the class as the children sing autumn songs walk together.
The cool autumn night air, the lights from the lanterns, and our singing voices make this celebration of autumn very special for our children and families.

Once again, MBCS is a finalist for Family Favorite Charter School! MBCS has been voted Family Favorite Charter School the last three years. Family Favorite winners can proudly call themselves “Monterey Bay Parent Family Favorite” for the next year. It’s a badge of honor for families to know we have been chosen by area parents as the best in our category!
