Grandparents & Loved Ones Day!
Every February, grandparents and loved ones are invited to visit our school and join students in their classroom for activities. This is a lovely MBCS tradition and a great opportunity to share Monterey Bay Charter School with that special person in your student’s life. Thank you for joining us for a day of fun grandparents and loved ones!
Ocean Guardian Update
As part of our new NOAA Ocean Guardian School project to fight marine debris, we are proud to announce that MBCS has partnered with local organization Save Our Shores to participate in the California Coastal Commission’s Adopt-A-Beach Program. MBCS has adopted Del Monte Beach in Monterey for the 2023-24 school year! Last Saturday, families joined us to pick up 294 pounds of trash at Del Monte Beach. Great job everyone!

Thank you to everyone who joined us!

The annual Spring Auction is our school’s largest fundraiser! Tickets are $50 per person and include dinner, drinks, silent auction, and music!
The Great Kindness Challenge
The week of January 22, 2024, schools globally (including MBCS!) participated in The Great Kindness Challenge, a global effort to promote kindness through a proactive and positive social-emotional learning-focused bullying prevention program. This challenge aligns beautifully with the MBCS’ counseling campaign for the year, which is upstanding and kindness! Throughout the week, MBCS students performed acts of kindness led by the Counseling Team and our very own Kindness Ambassadors. Both the Foothill and PG campuses participated in dress-up days, morning and afternoon kindness quotes, and school activities. Thank you to our school counselors, who made this Kindness Week so much fun!
