Congratulations MBCS Graduates!
Our eighth grade graduates had a wonderful in person commencement celebration on our new outdoor stage, at the Pacific Grove campus, on Thursday, June 9. Friends and family joined us to celebrate the achievements of these amazing students.
We are so proud of our graduates and thankful for the volunteers who helped organize a safe and fun in person event. We are equally thankful for our amazing eighth grade teachers, Mr. Joseph and Mrs. Alter, for all of their incredible work with our eighth grade students this year.

Monterey Bay Charter School is proud to celebrate pride month with our LGBTQIAA + Community!
Our middle school Student Council team celebrated Pride Month before the school year ended. Students in grades two through eight could color a pride flag, share why they are an ally on poster board, and could receive a pride flag pin. All student art work was then displayed on our Student Council cork boards. Well done Student Council!
Happenings Around Campus
We are excited to share with you that our Kindergarten through second grade classes are moving to the beautiful Foothill Elementary School campus.
This location feels similar to our Pacific Grove campus and provides ample space for a school garden, support services, an office, aftercare program, two kindergarten classrooms, two first grade classrooms, two second grade classrooms, and one outdoor Pre-K/TK classroom in a beautiful wooded setting for our youngest students.

Farewell to Cassandra Bridge
After seventeen years as Executive Director of Monterey Bay Charter School, Ms. Cassandra Bridge is saying farewell to pursue a career as a lawyer. We wish her well on her next adventure. Thank you, Ms. Bridge for all you have done for our students and our school. You will be missed dearly!
The MBCS Board of Directors appointed current School Director, Jessica Guzzi, as Interim Executive Director, and current third grade teacher, Anne Wyatt, as Interim Director of Education, and current kindergarten teacher, Jazmin Ventura, as Interim Pedagogical Leader (AKA Academic Coach) in lieu of a permanent Executive Director for one year.
