Celebrating Women’s History Month
March 1st marked the beginning of Women’s History Month; a month where we recognize and celebrate the contributions of women throughout history. Women’s History Month is also a time to reflect on the continued struggle for equality.
Monterey Bay Charter School faculty and administration are dedicated to honoring Women’s History Month with meaningful discussions and assignments for our students. Our eighth grade students are writing biographies of famous women in history. They are also listening to music performed by female artists to open and end each class. Our second grade students are learning about the story of Malala and Florence Nightingale. We can’t wait to share more of our students work with you!

Donor Spotlight
Our local Hayward Lumber store in Pacific Grove has continuously supported our school with donations over the years. We are incredibly grateful to Hayward Lumber for generously donating a tremendous amount of lumber for our new outdoor wood shop and blacksmith pergola.

School Reopenning Plans
MBCS is thrilled to announce we will be reopening for in person instruction the week of March 22. We have updated our Covid-19 Safety Plan to align with state and county guidelines. We have also contracted with a testing company to be able to administer COVID-19 testing for all students and employees, as an added safety measure. We cannot wait to see our students again!
